Banasthali Vidyapeeth or University is a woman University  in Indian state of  Rajasthan.It is a seemed  University offering program at school undergraduate postgraduate and doctorate level.

              Banasthali Vidyapeeth is a fully residential University that offer and integrated system and extending from the primary to the Ph.D level .It is the largest residential University for women in the world a pride of India and the true nation builder .

HISTORY:--Banasthali Vidyapeeth was founded on October 6, 1935 by eminent freedom fighter and educationist Pandit Hiralal Shastri and Shrimati Ratan Shastri .The institution is known for dedication to the cause of women education and was declared as an institution deemed to be  University 

CHARACTERISTICS OF BANASTHALI VIDYAPEETH

                  Physical development: - 
It includes many physical activities like parade, shooting, horse riding, flying, swimming, yoga and many traditional and modern sports like kabaddi kho-kho basketball badminton etc.
                  Aesthetic Development: - 
Under this, students of classes 1 to 5 are taught music and painting, dance education is imparted to students of all levels.
                   Functional development: --- 
Functional education includes printing, tailoring, craft, etc. Under domestic education.
               Moral Development: --- 
Its goal is to develop a sense of belonging towards all religions for which weekly prayers, Gita, Vedas and Ramayana 
  
            Intellectual development: - 
From the very beginning, for the development of the students, students go to natural and social knowledge along with science and knowledge of language and mathematics
The goals of Banasthali               University
         1)-   All-round development: ---- 
There is a system of home crafts, house management and housekeeping work, teaching of fine arts and industries, education of physical exercise, in this subject it is written: ----

    "Our plan is to provide all-round education to the girls so that they can become qualified Indian women"
   2)-   Character Development :---
The tendency of girls to lead public life to develop the character is to follow the Indian ideals, to develop a tendency of fearlessness and valor and courage. The main goal of this school is university. 
   3)-    Development of the spirit of independent women inherent development:--
 In the Vidyapeeth, Indian woman dignity has been given the main place and based on Western culture, is given the opportunity to lead a life by living in the appropriate dignity. The goal of the Vidyapeeth is that the Indian woman should be free to work side by side with the men fearlessly, but the Indian woman should contract with dignity.
  4)-    Developing the spirit of self-reliance: --- 
In the Vidyapeetha, community development schemes give the students an opportunity to acquire the qualities of cooperation, co-operation and self-reliance.
 Examination System and Evaluation System
In assessment, daily work is given more importance, emphasis is mostly on practical examination.

 The departments of Vanasthali Vidyapith are divided as follows: ----

* Department of Elementary and Sanskrit

 * Department of Secondary Education

* Multipurpose Secondary Education Department

* Department of Undergraduate and Post graduate

1)----Elementary and Sanskrit Department: - 
In this, junior high school is taught up to class 8, primary education of 5 years and lower secondary education of 3 years.
2)--Department of Secondary Education: - 

After class 8, students can go to High School (2 year course) or Higher Secondary (3 year) course.

3)--- Department of Multipurpose Secondary Education: --- 

In this, education is given in multipurpose interesting subjects from class IX to class 11, later a 3-year degree course is conducted.


4)---Department of Graduate and Post Graduate Education: - 

After passing high school, inter, then BA, BSc in various subjects and does MA, MSc.

    In this way, Vanasthali Vidyapith is the best institution to make students self-reliant, confident and characterful through their Panchmukhi education.
INNOVATION:--- NAAC has credited Banasthali Vidyapeeth at the highest possible grade "A "level in 2011 the review committee (Tandon committee) of ministry of HRD also appreciated the overall efforts of Vidyapeeth in the areas of institutional  governance academic achievement, research ,student progression, infrastructure etc. and category . Banasthali Vidyapeeth under category "A" list of Institution deemed to the university in 2010.
     The Vidyapeeth has had virtual autonomy for its School programmes since the beginning and what is affiliated to an outside agency for its University programme in 1983 the Government of India on the advice of the university  grant commission notified the Vidyapeeth as an institution deemed to be university.
    After attaining University status the Vidyapeeth restructure its undergraduate programme. At the postgraduate level it introduced courses in computer science, operational research, electronic and Biotechnology , Teachers education and Management have been started .New courses include MSC chemistry ,bioinformatics applied microbiology.
     Along with professional program search and MBA and MCA all graduate courses in the faculty of science have a semester system from 2004 all social science, Humanities and homescience post graduate program have been run as semester course .
    Banasthali Vidyapeeth is the first university in India that have started Centre for financial planning training and research for women and has started receiving CSR grants for corporate to support financial literacy for women through free workshop e learning module and knowledge creation through research paper course inclusion  in MBA ,BBA and doctoral research class in financial planning .
     All India University survey by Nielson India today in 2012 ranked Vidyapeeth at first position. If aspect like exclusive dedication two women education fully residential character rural surrounding it's campus of 850 acres range of course from nursery to Ph.D National representation of a student focus on Indian culture are consider in totality  than there is no institution like Banasthali Vidyapeeth. Banasthali Vidyapeeth has been registered under the Indian societies Registration Act 1860.
